Glow Wellness Yoga Studios

Glow Yoga Studio is a Canadian Yoga Alliance Registered and Certified Yoga School

My journey with yoga started over 10 years ago, but did not become a regular part of my life until I moved to Banff, Alberta in 2013. I have always made physical activity a priority, so naturally I was drawn to the challenge and rewards that come along with a physical practice of yoga.
In July 2017, I enrolled in Yoga Teacher Training lead by my teacher Erin Evans. I took my YTT because I was looking for something more. I was ready to open my heart and mind to the spiritual teachings, and healing that come from a dedicated yoga practice. With deep roots in Ashtanga I love teaching Mixed Level Flow, while offering a wide variety of hands on assists. I recently moved back to Ontario to be closer to my family, and I am thrilled to join the thriving yoga community here in the Durham region.

RYT500 Reiki Master

Angela became drawn to the benefits of a regular Yoga practice in 2003, after discovering its benefits in helping one deepen their understanding of the Self, achieve Balance and Well-Being. Having been a Performer, Choreographer, Adjudicator and Teacher of many Dance disciplines for 20 years, she then ventured into teaching Yoga in 2009. In 2013 Angela went on to open Shakti Connection Yoga, Meditation and Movement Studio, where she led diverse and dynamic Yoga, Barre, Meditation and Functional Movement classes, alongside her team of instructors.

Deeply moved by witnessing the transformation in others, Angela has been committed to offering Reiki and EFT, as part of a diverse approach to healing and an ever-evolving practice. With constant focus on breath, alignment and the present, her classes cultivate an inner knowing and joy within her students. She is honoured to be recognized in the community as Yoga Ambassador for both lululemon and BYOGA, and is grateful to have the opportunity to pass on the healing works of Practice, to those on the path!

has used her Intuitive Mediumship which was published in ‘The Ghosts of the Canadian
National Exhibition’. Amanda also provides Reiki Healing in Glow Yoga Wellness studios and is
registered with the Canadian Reiki Association.

It’s been a goal of mine to become a yoga teacher since high school. Yoga has always been my safe place
and it’s been the biggest tool in my battle with mental illness. Stress, anxiety, depression – yoga has
helped me to live with all of these. I want to take what I’ve learned from teacher training, and use it to
help other people find peace, and provide a safe space for people to explore their own healing.
I am a graduate of the 250HR YTT and Restorative training here at Glow. I’m hoping to expand my
training to delve deeper into anatomy and spirituality. The training at Glow was absolutely life changing,
and I’m so excited to share what I’ve learned with all of you!

Nicole began practicing yoga purely for the physical work out. Within little time Nicole realized the effect that yoga has on her not only physically, but mentally. With each yoga class Nicole took she began to notice how she would shut off the little voice in her head filled with limiting beliefs and dedicate an hour to release anything holding her back; both on and off her mat. With time yoga became her outlet to reflect both physically and mentally.

Once Nicole completed her 200-hour YTT program she was left with a new perspective of how she viewed life and those around her. Nicole’s goal is to try and inspire her student to leave every class a little bit lighter from when they first walked in. She hopes to share her passion for yoga with others and help them find mind, body and spirit connection.

Tricia has been practicing yoga for 25 years and completed her 200hr Yoga Teacher Training at Glow. “I was initially drawn to yoga like so many other people, to become more flexible, manage my stress and to stretch out my sore muscles from working out at the gym and playing golf. My yoga practice has adapted and changed along with me as I have aged and proves that yoga can be practiced, enjoyed and beneficial for a lifetime. Yoga has helped me cope with emotional and physical changes and has made me more present and calm. It feeds and replenishes my mind, body and spirit and I became a teacher to help others”. In addition to completing Glow Illuminated 200hr teacher training, Tricia has taken many workshops over the years with inspirational teachers such as Rodney Yee, Colleen Saidman-Yee, Rod Stryker, Ashley Turner, Diane Bruni, Seane Corn, Leslie Kaminoff, Natasha Rizopoulos and Travis Eliot.

Tricia teaches beginners and offers workshops geared to ages 40+. In addition to teaching at Glow, Tricia teaches corporate yoga at her downtown Toronto office in the financial district. These classes are specifically designed to help people who work in an office to manage their stress and their repetitive strain issues associated with sitting at a desk in front of a computer & other technology for long periods of time.

Fascination of healing the physical body through mindful, fluid motion led me to study Pilates and Yoga. I was inspired to be an instructor after my first Pilates class in 2007. RYT 400+, certified prenatal yoga, certified pilates instructor, previous Lululemon Run Ambassador

I stumbled into a yoga class, almost quite literally, after having to retire from judo. I was plagued with injuries, the main one leading me to have reconstructive jaw surgery in 2000 to repair the damage from over 10 years of grappling. I was beyond devastated! Not knowing where to go next, I figured I would give yoga a try. I was amazed at how this gentle practice could challenge me both mentally and physically! I found myself wanting to learn more and deepen my own personal practice, which lead to the completion of my RYT200 hatha certification and then furthering my studies with RYT200 vinyasa certification. I have had the pleasure to attend various workshops with incredible teachers such as Ray Long, Natasha Rizopoulos, Danny Paradise, Susi Hately, David Good, Rod Stryker, Margot McKinnon and Sarah Powers just to name a few! The best part is, I am always a student so feel like I’m just getting started!

Yoga has changed me in so many ways! It has guided me, nurtured me and allowed me to grow into a much more grounded and positive being! I am so happy to have found my bliss with yoga and am excited to share it with all of you!

the light in me appreciates and acknowledges the light in you..
