The Four Body Types
Take a look around and you’ll notice something interesting about people’s bodies – most of them fall into 4 shapes.
Many people think that the shape of the body is purely genetic and there is nothing that can be done about it. The truth is that hormonal imbalances will cause excessive distortion of accumulated fat in different locations around the body. An imbalance on the inside can show up on the outside.
Body shape is affected by hormones.
Accumulating fat is directed to certain parts of your body based on what’s happening to hormones. For example; the stress hormone, called cortisol directs fat deep in your midsection whereas estrogen directs fat superficially around your hips and thighs (called cellulite). These body ‘shapes’ can give clues on what the body is attempting to do.
The Adrenal Body Type
When an Adrenal Body Type can’t handle stress, it creates an increase of the hormone cortisol. The nature of Cortisol is to help you survive and handle stress. Excess cortisol causes belly fat because “Fat” to the body, is “potential energy.” Belly fat accumulates as energy “reserves”. The Adrenal Body Type works in this cycle: the more stress, the more cortisol and consequntly, the more energy reserves. This results in more fat storage. The Adrenal Body Type is the most challenging body type because of this imbalance.
Whether you realize it or not, you are in a constant state of stress. You are very active mentally – always thinking and solving problems. You can’t stop thinking. You have dark circles under your eyes. You crave chocolate, energy drinks and salt; which is a sign of your blood sugar issues. You may find yourself eating six times a day just to stabilize your sugar levels. As your body progresses; you will develop a sagging stomach. Your face becomes round, you develop a double chin, and start storing fat in other places like the back. You have inflammation and swollen ankles or hands and get stiffness and pain in your the hamstrings. In stage 3, your muscle proteins begin to break down in your legs, which causes them to have tremendous difficulty climbing stairs. As The Adrenal Body Type progresses, they feel overwhelmed. Arthritis and pains in the heel of the foot and lower back become chronic and they might get twitching under the left eye . more
The Liver Body Type
Although this is most common in men, women have this type as well. The predominant characteristic of a Liver Body Type is a “pot belly” symptom. There is swelling in the abdomen which is due to accumulated toxins in the liver. This swelling may appear to be “fat”, but is actually toxic swelling which eventually will harden from pressure.
During the first stages of your body type, you experience weight gain and protrusion of the gut. Your legs stay thinner. Your body may start to develop right shoulder pain and you probably notice some back stiffness in the mornings. The Liver Type is known to crave deep fried foods like fried chicken because the liver cannot absorb any fats. You tend to stay up late at night and find yourself awake around 2:00AM. You are irritable in the mornings. As The Liver Type develops into the next stage, your cravings get worse and your appetite increases. You may find yourself living on a diet of nearly no vegetables because your cravings create your meals. Some of these symptoms include skin irritation and chronic digestive problems. The whites of the eyes may become yellowish and bloodshot; blood pressure will get higher and cholesterol will raise to unhealthy levels . more
The Ovary Body Type
The predominant characteristic of an Ovary Body Type is a “hip and belly fat”. When ovaries become dysfunctional, they can produce an excess of estrogen, which causes more fat. This fat is deposited on “saddlebag” thighs, the lower stomach and the buttocks. The lower stomach fat usually shows up just below the bellybutton as a bulge.
Fat starts to accumulate just below your belly button, because your estrogen levels are not healthy and have increased production in the body, causing fat to develop around the ovaries. Because your estrogen is responsible for making fat, the more fat you have, the more estrogen is created and your weight loss goals compete with this vicious cycle. You have difficult menstrual cycles with excessive bleeding and pain. And you get moody at that time of the month. As the stages develop for The Ovary Type, more weight is gained in the hip area. You have cellulite – or cottage cheese looking dimples on your thighs and stomach area. But your upper body stays suitable and does not take on the same effect as your lower. Your shoulders are more narrow than your hips, and you have a small waist relative to the rest of your shape. As symptoms progress, The Ovary Type experiences pain in the back of seat joints (like the tailbone area) and the lower back (either left or right). You crave creamy foods and dairy; like ice-cream, cream cheese, cheese cake, vanilla yogurt and those types of foods . more
The predominant characteristic of a Thyro >Thyroid Body Types most likely have a stubborn or slowed metabolism and the type of fat accumulated is a spongy, waste-like product.
In Stage One, you may have noticed some hair loss. You may start losing the outer part of your eye brows and get loose skin underneath your chin and arms. By stage 2, your nails become brittle, you will have some constipation and your feet feel cold; especially at night. Cravings start to kick in as a need for quick energy; since your body has lost its ability to absorb vitamins and nutrients from food. You will find yourself craving “quick energy sources” like breads, pasta, cereals, crackers, biscuits, pan cakes, muffins, Juices, and even alcohol. By Stage 3, The Thyroid Type experiences chronic fatigue and a feeling of depression. You may feel that you cannot handle any stress. You find yourself suffering from exhaustion despite how many hours of sleep you get.
Toxins are the initial trigger for the Thyroid Body Type. The difference with the Thyroid Body Type is that these toxins triggered an imbalance of the metabolism . more
